Phillip Hutzelman was born in May 20th 1960 and raised in the hills of Southern Indiana. As a child his family encouraged him and his siblings to observe natural world. This encouragement sparked Phillip's interest in nature this curiosity gave him the desire to learn the secret's behind these natural forms. Which would eventually lead him down the path of study in Marine Biology and Art, both of which he heralded as career choices. However after a taking some continuing education courses at the University of Southern California. He chose to traverse down the path of an artist.

He actually began his art career in Tallahassee Florida, where he also earned his BFA degree at Florida State University. Then he later attended Washington University where he gained his MFA.

Through his studies he gained a desire to teach. However he later turned his focus on owning and operating The Inferno Art Foundry which provides casting services to regional and national artist. He continues to serve an evolving and expanding artist community.
